Let’s be honest. Nobody wakes up thinking, “You know what sounds relaxing? Being photographed in lingerie by someone I’ve met twice.” If that’s where your brain is right now, you are in very good company. Almost every woman who walks into my Claremore studio feels a little nervous at first.
So instead of me telling you it’s going to be fine (which, to be fair, is exactly what I would say), I’m going to let one of my recent clients tell you herself.
In Her Words
“I had such an amazing experience with Blush Intimate Photography! I felt so comfortable and confident during my session, and I’m absolutely obsessed with my photos. Stacy and her team went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and relaxed before my session even started. It was such a fun experience, and I’m so glad I did it!”
Okay, I may have read that one a few times. Maybe out loud. Maybe to my dog.
Comfort Starts Before the Camera Comes Out
My favorite part of her review is the line about feeling relaxed before her session even started. That is 100% on purpose.
A boudoir session isn’t something you just show up for and hope for the best. From your first consultation call, my team and I get to know you: what you’re excited about, what you’re nervous about, and how you want to feel when you look at your images. By the time session day rolls around, you’re walking in to see friends, not strangers with a camera.
On the day itself, you’ll get professional hair and makeup, good music, maybe a snack, and plenty of time to settle in. I’ll guide you through every pose, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands. (Everyone wonders what to do with their hands. It’s the great universal boudoir mystery. I’ve got you.)
Confidence Isn’t a Requirement. It’s the Result.
You don’t need to feel confident to book a boudoir session. Most of my clients don’t at the start! Confidence shows up during the session, usually right around the moment I flip the camera around and show you the back of the screen.
That’s the moment I live for. It’s why I do this. Your body, exactly as it is today, deserves to be celebrated, whether you’re doing a bridal boudoir gift, marking a milestone birthday, or simply doing something just for you.
“So Glad I Did It”
That last line of her review is the one I hear the most, and honestly, the one I never get tired of. Not one client has ever told me, “I wish I’d waited until I felt more ready.” Plenty have told me they wish they’d done it sooner.
