For as long as I can remember, I’ve struggled with my body—and more than that, with how I see myself. Life hasn’t exactly gone easy on me. I’ve been divorced twice, and both times I came out of those relationships not just heartbroken, but mentally, emotionally, and physically bruised. Abuse leaves scars you can’t always see, and for years, I carried the weight of that pain in more ways than one.

At one point, I reached 250 pounds. I was hiding, numbing, surviving. But somewhere deep inside, a small spark refused to go out. Over time, that spark grew. I made the choice to fight for myself. To heal. To show up for me. I lost over 100 pounds—but even more importantly, I started to confront the lies I had been told and the woman I had been made to believe I was: broken, defeated, stuck, and bound.

And let me tell you—stepping into a boudoir shoot was not just about putting on lingerie and striking a pose. It was about facing that scared version of me and telling her: You are worthy. You are beautiful, you are strong and a fighter for everything you have and wanted in life.

When I walked in for my fitting, I was nervous—shaking, if we’re being honest. But then I met Stacey. She was a breath of fresh air. Her kindness, her warmth, the way she made me feel pampered and seen—it shifted something in me. She created a space that didn’t just allow vulnerability, but celebrated it.

The day of the shoot, I was still anxious. But Stacey reminded me of who I am becoming. She helped me see myself in a completely new light—literally and emotionally. I felt confident. I felt sexy. I felt… free.

This was my very first boudoir shoot—but I can promise you, it won’t be my last.

Thank you, Blushing Intimate Photography, for giving me the opportunity to reclaim my power, my beauty, and my story. You didn’t just capture images—you helped rewrite how I see myself.

To anyone reading this who has ever felt unworthy, ashamed, or invisible: you are none of those things. You are strong. You are beautiful. And you deserve to feel it.
