Boudoir Photography- Frequently Asked Questions

The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their sessions, I am asked many questions. So, I wanted to compile a list of the 12 most asked questions!

Do you share my Images?

Our number 1 priority is ensuring our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life-changing experience, but that also makes it nerve-wracking! Sometimes, you are learning to love your body, and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes, these photos are specifically for your spouse, not anyone else’s eyes. These are all excellent reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! If there are photos that I would like to share, I will ask your permission first and only share what you are comfortable with!

Do I have to wear lingerie?

You don’t have to wear lingerie specifically. It depends on your personality! There are a BUNCH of outfit ideas other than lacy little things!

Do you have payment plans?

We offer a few payment options! There is a booking retainer to book your shoot, and the balance is due two weeks before the shoot date! If you want more time to pay off the shoot, you can schedule it a few moons out and pay it off in payments! Let me know if this is something that you want to set up!

Is hair and makeup included?

Hair and makeup are included in all of our boudoir shoots! I think it’s really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our fantastic team can help you complete your look, whether “Just work up like this” or Full glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup, and we can try to use them for inspiration!

Do you Photoshop my images?

I do edit your images for light, exposure, and color balance. I do NOT, however, edit any “out” that is permanent! It can be damaging to have a boudoir session done and then edit out parts of yourself that make you who you are! Part of the process is accepting yourself, and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping the part of yourself you don’t like. If there are parts of yourself you are leaving to love and aren’t thrilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing and light to make you look your absolute best and bring out your shine!

Where should I buy outfits?

There are a few places to buy outfits; it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Here is a list of different styles and sizes to choose from: Victoria’s Secret, Forever21, Adoreme.com, Torrid, eberjay.com, Aerie, forevteryourslingerie.ca, hipsandcureces.com, jasminestaceycollections.co. If you are looking for something specific that you can’t find, let me know, and I might know where to get it!

What type of print products do you have?

We offer a variety of luxury albums and beautiful, vivid metal wall art options! The wall art comes in several size options and is my favorite! I love the excitement of putting a stunning image you are proud of on your wall; it’s surreal to see yourself like that! ” A 20×30 vivid glossy photo of myself from my boudoir shoot hanging on my wall is the most empowering feeling. I look at it every chance I get. I think I look at it more than he does. It’s a daily reminder that my self-image has completely changed after having my boudoir shoot” -Erica, on her experience at her boudoir shoot!

Do you offer digitals?

All of your collections include some print product and digitals, but there is also an A La Carte list that you can choose from! On this list, we have an option for digital images! These digital images come in a locked online gallery for you to download and share!

I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

Neves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would be weird if you WEREN’T nervous. The nervousness at the beginning of your shoot makes your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the first time much better!

How many outfits should I bring?

I always say to bring more if you can’t decide, and I will help you decide at your shoot! All sessions come with two outfit looks. If you decide to add an additional set, then an additional outfit will be included.

Should I get to my shoot early?

You should plan to arrive right on time! I have added the time to discuss your outfits and prepare for hair and makeup!

Where is your studio located?

We are located in Claremore, Oklahoma, just outside of town. We have the best of both worlds: a short drive to the most amazing historic downtown with great shopping and a little slice of country living.
